Power has been restored to Records Hall. The OIT computer lab there is open and functioning normally and printing is running at all sites.
Power to the Records Hall building on the College Avenue campus is currently out due to an issue with an underground power line. Rutgers’ Utilities division is currently working on the issue, but we have no ETA for its completion. As a result the computer lab in Records Lab is closed (The Satellite lab will be open for the normal Records Hall hours. The College Avenue Student Center and Alexander Library labs are also currently open for their normal scheduled hours.) The servers which host printing for all of the OIT College Avenue labs as well as the RUExpress server are also housed in the Records Hall building. This means that printing is currently down in all College Avenue labs and printing in excess of the $30 allotments on other campuses (Busch, Livingston, Cook/Douglass, Camden) are currently unavailable. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
All OIT-NB labs will remain closed on Tuesday, 1/27. They will tentatively reopen at their normal scheduled times on Wednesday, 1/28 (pending the campus operational status.)
All OIT-NB computer labs will be closing at 4pm today (1/26) due to the snow. We will be reopening no earlier than 1pm on Tuesday (1/27) . Please check back tomorrow morning for additional updates as to our operating status on Tuesday.
The issues reported earlier which affected Internet and printing on the College Ave campus have been resolved. Thank you for your patience.
OIT is seeing no activity to suggest that the previous DDOS attack is continuing. OIT staff continue to be vigilant and will inform the community of any changes related to this matter.
OIT became aware of a Distributed Denial of Service (DDOS) attack that began around 10 PM on 11/19/2014 which affected various Rutgers services. Services were restored as of 9 AM on 11/20/2014. However, OIT staff are continuing to monitor the situation. Status updates will be posted here when available.
